Work with the customer and technical team to identify key requirements and technical challenges, architect solutions, document the requirements and solution in a specification document for off-shore development.
Job Requirements:
• Technical background – experience deploying production software in the last 5 years . Be prepared to describe the code you personally wrote and when it went to production.
• Extremely strong English verbal and written communication skills. At least 5 years of primarily-English work experience required if not a native speaker.
• Comfortable (ideally experienced) writing specifications for an independent team to develop – not looking for a developer, looking for someone who can write good clear specifications and hand them out without receiving lots of follow-up questions, for 1-2 man-month tasks.
• Experience with Web Services or other SOA architecture.
• Experience with Java web service technologies like WADL
• Experience with XML grammars – XSD, DTD
• Experience with SQL Databases
• Experience with web technologies – HTML, JavaScript, CSS
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop or other image manipulation tools for adjusting UI wireframes or other mock-ups.
• Must be willing to work at least 6 US business hours (eastern time zone) per day.
• Automotive Industry Experience
• Automotive Interactive / Digital Experience
• Willing to work on a contract basis
• Available on-site at a customer location 2-3 days/week in the Detroit area.
• Good technical problem-solving skills
• Comfortable using a tool like Firebug to help identify issues
• Familiarity with basic web fundamentals – HTML, JavaScript – could look at some code if needed, not expected to write any
• Experience working with rule engines
• Experience working with Ajax / JSON / web services
• Familiarity with the US Automotive Industry

This project is the first of many and if the applicant can start today that would be great. I have a new concept for a project that I need to explain to a programmer that thinks outside the square. I need a full breakdown of the project and a plan including revenue plan and submitted back to me within a set time period.
