I am looking for someone to be a part time webmaster, administrator with a little web design work here and there.
PLEASE READ THE WHOLE DESCRIPTION BELOW BEFORE APPLYING
You must be experienced in installing and tweaking WordPress, Elgg, Boonex/Dolphin and other popular content management systems.
You need to be experienced in maintaining a VPS server via Cpanel and WHM and troubleshooting issues that may arise once in a while.
You must have knowledge of Apache, MySQL, PHP, htaccess and other important components of website administration on the server side.
Primary tasks will include installing open source scripts and making sure the databases are setup correctly and that the sites as a whole function properly. You will at times need to customize certain aspects and settings in the admin areas for these scripts, installing and tweaking modules, add-ons and plugins will also be one of your tasks.
Some design work will also be necessary sometimes. Primarily CSS & HTML work. You won’t be doing graphics or entire customizations. Just tweaks here and there primarily using CSS and HTML.
I will need you to also just check in and maintain things once in a while. Make sure things are optimized. So you should be able to read the server logs and see where things should be optimized to avoid overloading my server resources.
PLEASE NOTE: I have previously listed this but have gotten responses from OVERQUALIFIED providers. I am NOT looking for developers. I am NOT looking for a completely customized CMS. This job is mainly website administration and installing and tweaking scripts, and WHM/Cpanel maintenance.
I will be interviewing.
I am looking to find someone trustworthy, knowledgeable, experienced and reliable. Please be professional and get things done when you say they will be done…NOT 2 weeks later.
ALSO NOTE: I have a basic idea of how long things should take, so please do not be one of those providers that tries to bill me for 2 hours for something that will only take 15 minutes to do.
